Pardon my absence as I recharge my batteries.
This week I am enjoying a much needed vacay close to home but feeling far far away in Bald Head Island. Bald Head Island is a ferry ride from Southport, NC which is 30 minutes south of Wilmington. No cars on bald head, only golf carts.
My husband and his family have been enjoying Bald Head since the 1980's when it was dirt rodes, no phones, and a huge adventure for an 8 year old boy!
It is an extra special place for Richard and I because we got married on Bald Head in the beautiful Chapel in 2009.
Every year we, my husband, family, and a few friends spend this time at Bald Head and they fish in the annual Bald Head Island Fishing Rodeo. It is a fun weekend for all!
